Diwali Sweets

I have always loved cooking. In past few years, I have gained expertise in making traditional Gujarati/Indian sweets. So this year, I am going to take orders for some of these sweets for Diwali. These are not the typical sweets that you would find in every Indian sweet shop. Some things to be noted:

  • I do not use preservatives or artificial colors as they are harmful to health.
  • Everything is cooked on stove. No use of microwave.
  • Pure ghee is used in all sweets.

Trip to Lake Cushman

We drove to Lake Cushman in Olympic National Forest this weekend. The weather was very good. We had rented a cottage on the shore of the lake. The cottage was pretty good. The group size was 9. Had a lot of fun roaming around, playing games, and starting campfire. Need to plan more such trips.

Microsoft Kinect

Played some Kinect games at a friend's place. The games were truly different from any other video games I played before. They are more fun. But the best part I like is of course the physical activity involved. A good alternative to gym which tends to be boring.
